No matter what genre, type, or topic Olim Qo‘chqorbekov wrote about, he always urged and continues to urge his contemporaries to purity, honesty, and furthermore, to become a perfect human being. In 1973, he was awarded the title «Honored Worker of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan».

During this period, his satirical works such as «Birinchi sort bo‘ydoq» (1969) and «Salomiga yarasha» (1982) were published. His first novella, titled «Lo‘li bola», was printed in 1978. In 1980, the writer's novel about the last concubine of the Emir of Bukhara, Olimkhon, was published in the «Sharq yulduzi» journal under the title «Inqiroz». At present, his new novel, titled «Amirlikdan mahbuslikka», is completed and is on the verge of being published.

His first poem was published in the press in 1948. After that, his books for children, such as «Chorichambar» (1963), «Sirli xum» (1969), and «Qaysar buzoqcha» (1974), were published. The writer's works for adults constitute the majority. His first collection in this regard was published in 1957 under the title «She’r va masallar».

Then, one after another, poetry collections such as «Kuylarim va o‘ylarim» (1960), «Umrim bog‘ida» (1970), «Ko‘ngil mezoni» (1972), «Va’zxon va Zag‘izg‘on» (1974), and «Nozik ko‘ngil» (1983) were created.

A number of Olim Qo‘chqorbekov's satirical works have also found a place on the pages of the famous satirical cinema journal «Nashtar».

Olim Qo‘chqorbekov is originally from Tashkent. He was born on August 12, 1932, in the village of Qatortol, Zangiota district, into a peasant family. After secondary school, he studied at the Central Asian State University from 1951 to 1957. After finishing his studies, he worked actively and consistently at «Mushtum» for nearly forty years. He rose from a simple literary staff member to the level of department head and deputy editor. He served both children's and adult literature simultaneously.
